Noesis is looking for the following profile:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design and development of Generative AI solutions, including models with transformers, embeddings, and LLM-based pipelines.
  • Build and optimize traditional Machine Learning models for different use cases (classification, regression, clustering, etc.).
  • Explore, prepare, and transform data, applying best practices in feature engineering to improve model performance.
  • Contribute to the automation and reproducibility of data science pipelines with MLOps tools, ensuring continuous monitoring and maintenance in production.
  • Clearly communicate analytical results, focusing on applicability and business impact.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in the AI, ML, and cloud ecosystem.
  • Manage a growing team, being a reference in terms of technical and behavioral aspects.
  • Participate in pre-sales actions and proposal preparation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or similar fields.
  • Over 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Experience managing teams in this field.
  • Proven experience in developing Generative AI solutions, including use of transformers, embeddings, and knowledge of prompt engineering.
  • Strong command of traditional Machine Learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
  • Fluency in Python and libraries like numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn.
  • Experience with PySpark and handling large volumes of data.
  • Practical knowledge of MLOps: model versioning, experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow), deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience in cloud environments, namely:
  • Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Data Factory).
  • GCP (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery).
  • AWS (e.g., SageMaker, S3).

We value:

  • Experience in team management in this area.
  • Experience with open-source LLM models (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon).
  • Knowledge of frameworks like LangChain, LangSmith or LlamaIndex.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud (e.g., Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty).
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to defining best practices within the team.
  • Sensitivity to ethical issues, algorithmic bias, and data privacy.

Work regime: hybrid 2x per week in the Lisbon office.
