Today marks the end of a journey spanning over 15 years with NEX, the company I co-founded in 2010 with Jorge Oliveira, Rui Marques, and Adriano Frazão.
Together, we brought Racius and Cegid Vendus to life.
Racius launched in 2012, delivering thousands of reports that helped people and businesses alike. It played a key role in major political cases and earned its place in the business world. In 2015, we introduced Cegid Vendus, a fresh approach to point-of-sale systems for retail. Over the years, it expanded into services and catering across Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Spain, becoming a top cloud solution in the sector.
Our work culminated in joining Cegid in 2023—a proud milestone.
True pride comes when a chapter closes. I’m grateful to Rui and Adriano for believing in the vision from day one, and especially to Jorge, whose constant support and honest discussions shaped so much of this journey.
To all past and present members of NEX: your dedication created more than products—you built a culture of transparency, recognition, and lifelong friendships.
This chapter closes with gratitude. I’m energized and ready for what comes next.
