NOS Secures €100M Loan from BPI to Refinance Debt

Portuguese telecom operator NOS has secured a €100 million financing deal with Banco BPI, the company announced in a statement to the CMVM (Securities Market Commission) on Wednesday. The four-year loan will mature in 2029 and is aimed at refinancing an existing credit line that was due this month.

According to the company, led by Miguel Almeida, this move helps keep financing costs competitive in comparison to both national and European peers, while also extending the average maturity of its debt portfolio.

As of March 31, 2025, NOS reported a Net Financial Debt / EBITDA After Leasings ratio of 1.5x, comfortably below its internal policy ceiling of 2x—highlighting what the company calls “prudent financial management” and a solid balance sheet.
