KPMG Portugal re-elects Vitor Ribeirinho as CEO for another four years

KPMG Portugal's partners have re-elected Vitor Ribeirinho as CEO for another four years, extending his leadership through September 30, 2030.

Ribeirinho, a senior partner, has been with KPMG since 1991 and became an audit partner in 2002. Before becoming CEO in 2021, he led Audit & Assurance from 2006 to 2021 and served as vice-president starting in 2016. He’s now starting a fresh strategic plan for the company.

Ribeirinho said that they have made a lot of headway over the last five years, growing in employees, revenue, and the variety of services they offer. He added that this new term motivates him to keep pushing forward.

During his leadership from 2021 to 2026, KPMG Portugal:

- Increased its staff by more than 50%, reaching over 1,700 employees.

- Expanded its international work, with projects in over 20 countries.

- Formed the Next Generation Council, allowing young employees to have a say in company decisions.

- Opened the Évora tech center, a center for tech advice in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Created the Portugal–Angola group, also managed by Ribeirinho.

Ribeirinho, who has degrees in Accounting and Administration from ISCAL, is a certified public accountant in both Portugal and Angola. He pointed out that the company's growth is due to the talent and hard work of its people, as well as the trust of their clients and other involved parties.
