Braga-based DST Group has secured a €5.1 million contract to construct the new Data Center of the National Center for Advanced Computing at the Azurém campus of the University of Minho in Guimarães. The project, financed under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and part of the “More Digital Science” initiative, is scheduled for completion in 2026, with a 334-day execution period.
The facility will span 500 m², designed to host high-density computer racks while integrating noise-reducing and energy-efficient construction solutions. Competing firms included Rare Concept, Alexandre Barbosa Borges, and Climacer, but DST’s proposal ultimately prevailed.
