Eurobic Customers Are Moving to Abanca Starting Monday

If you’re a Eurobic customer, here’s what you need to know:

1. Digital Banking Changes

- Eurobic Net (app and online banking) will stop working this weekend.

- From Monday, all banking will be done through Abanca’s digital channels.

- Use your NIF instead of your Eurobic username and your existing Eurobic password instead of your PIN.

- Any pending transactions or proofs of transaction up to Nov. 20, 2025 should be saved/downloaded now—they won’t transfer automatically.

2. New IBAN

- Every Eurobic account will get a new IBAN starting Monday.

- For the first year, direct debits, recurring payments, and transfers will continue automatically, so no immediate action is needed.

- After Nov. 24, 2026, you must update your IBAN in all recurring operations.

- If you receive instant transfers, give your new IBAN to the sender.

- Update your IBAN in account aggregators or finance apps to avoid mismatches.

3. Branch & Branding

- Eurobic’s Portuguese branches will close.

- The Eurobic brand will disappear, with Abanca now fully operating in Portugal.

- Abanca will become the 7th largest bank in Portugal, serving 300,000+ customers with €20B in assets.

4. What You Should Do Now

- Download proof of transactions up to Nov. 20.

- Make sure pending authorizations are completed.

- From Monday, switch to Abanca’s app/online banking.

Note your new IBAN and update relevant services gradually.
