emagine to Acquire Waada The Movement, Expanding Advisory and Execution Capabilities

Lisbon – emagine today announced an agreement to acquire Waada The Movement, a Netherlands-based consultancy specializing in business transformation, data, and software development. The transaction is subject to customary employee consultation and regulatory approvals.

Founded in 2004, Waada employs over 400 professionals and supports enterprise organizations in delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including AI adoption, data, and software engineering. Its consulting model, which combines strategic advisory with deep technical execution, will reinforce emagine’s position as a full-service consulting partner with end-to-end digital capabilities.

The acquisition aligns with emagine’s growth strategy, enhancing its ability to deliver complex transformation and engineering programs. Waada is expected to contribute approximately €40 million in annual revenue, complementing emagine’s global presence, which serves 500 enterprise clients across 13 countries with roughly 5,000 consultants and a professional network of over 500,000 specialists.

Waada operates under two brands:

- Prowareness, supporting Dutch organizations with Agile, Lean, and AI-driven transformation initiatives.

- DevOn, delivering high-end digital engineering and software development through a distributed delivery model with hubs in the UK, Netherlands and Bengaluru, India. DevOn will complement emagine’s nearshore delivery capabilities in Poland, Portugal, and Romania.

- “This partnership marks a defining step in emagine’s growth journey,” said Anders Gratte, CEO of emagine. “Waada brings high-end advisory and specialized engineering capabilities that allow us to support clients earlier in the lifecycle, remain close partners through execution, and deliver at scale as demand grows.”

- Derk Zegers, Managing Director of Prowareness, and Rahul Sah, CEO of DevOn International, added: “We see strong strategic and cultural alignment with emagine. This agreement opens new opportunities for clients and colleagues while preserving the strengths that have driven Waada’s growth for over two decades.”

- Vikram Kapoor, CEO of Waada, reflected: “After 15 years of growing Waada, I’m proud of our journey. Joining forces with emagine allows us to offer an even stronger bestshoring experience and better outcomes for clients and employees.”

Further details will be shared following the completion of the transaction, subject to regulatory and employee consultation requirements.
