Carglass is stepping up its commitment to employees by increasing the base salary to €970 per month, surpassing the national minimum wage by €100. The company is also raising the meal allowance to €8 per day. This move affects around 400 employees, who will now enjoy better compensation packages, including health insurance. Last year, Carglass implemented a 15% salary increase, outpacing the 8% rise in the national minimum wage. This year, the goal is to ensure that no employee earns less than €1,100 gross, when factoring in both the salary and meal allowance.
Tatiana Silva, Carglass’s people director, emphasized that the company’s growth is driven by a skilled and continuously evolving team. Along with these improvements, Carglass plans to open 10 more stores in Portugal, bringing its total to 80 locations. This expansion will help increase service volume and introduce advanced services like ADAS recalibration for windshields.
