Accenture Faces Union Accusations of “Psychological Torture” Amid Content Moderation Work

Accenture is getting heat from the CESP union, which claims content moderators are going through psychological torture. The issue? They're constantly dealing with messed-up stuff online but aren't getting the mental health support they need.

The union says folks are under a lot of pressure to meet targets, breaks are short, and all this is causing major stress that could stick with them.

Accenture claims that they care about their employees, mentioning resources, good pay, and chances to move up. But workers say the wellness sessions are short only about 30 minutes each month and don't cut it when it comes to real mental healthcare. They're seeing some terrible content, including stuff like sexual abuse and accidents, and it's affecting their everyday lives.

Union reps also say it's tough to get the union recognized and organize workers. Even though Accenture touts itself as a great place to work, some say its support doesn't match how tough the job is on people's minds.
