As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing and scaling high-performance services that operate in a cloud-native environment. You’ll work at the intersection of distributed systems, data pipelines, and AI integration, helping transform complex requirements into reliable and maintainable solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong backend focus, suited for someone who enjoys working across system boundaries and influencing technical direction.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and deliver robust backend systems that support intelligent, data-driven features
• Build and evolve APIs and service layers consumed by multiple applications and platforms
• Design solutions for scalability, fault tolerance, and performance in distributed environments
• Integrate backend services with machine learning workflows and inference pipelines
• Develop and optimize data models and database interactions for both operational and analytical use cases
• Collaborate across teams to align on architecture, system design, and technical standards
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and system observability to ensure production reliability
• Contribute to automation, testing, and deployment pipelines alongside DevOps teams

Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) building backend systems in production environments
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, C#, or Kotlin
• Strong foundation in database design and SQL
• Experience designing and maintaining service-based or microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of scalability challenges and distributed system patterns
• Ability to work across the stack when needed, while maintaining a backend-first approach
• Interest in or exposure to AI/ML-driven applications and data-centric systems
