Devex platform engineer

Pictet Tech design, integrate and operate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division plays a pivotal role in driving some of the Group’s key innovations while ensuring the continuity of business operations.

As a member of the Cloud Engineering unit within the Platform Engineering department, you will contribute to enhancing the development experience for product teams by delivering well-designed and reliable platforms. These platforms encompass a wide range of functionalities, including observability, identity management, continuous integration and delivery, release management, and cloud capabilities.

You will be part of the Development Experience team, where your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive development environment that empowers actors of our development process. This environment will leverage advanced GenAI-powered coding assistance tools, while also supporting best practices across the software development lifecycle, including specification writing, testing, and documentation. Our ambition is to provide a secure, comprehensive, and agile platform that safeguards our infrastructure, enhances developer productivity, and enables rapid adaptation to evolving business needs and technological innovations. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering operational excellence, innovation, and compliance within Pictet Tech.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and manage a modern development platform, integrating essential capabilities for code management, workflow orchestration, and CI/CD to support development teams and promote software craftsmanship best practices.
• Foster a culture of excellence by actively encouraging and facilitating the adoption of industry-leading standards in specification writing, testing, documentation, and maintainability throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity experts, and risk managers to ensure the platform remains secure, efficient, and adaptable to evolving business and technological needs.
• Provide development teams with access to advanced coding assistants powered by agentic AI, as a complement to the platform’s core capabilities, to further enhance productivity and support innovation.
• Performing tasks expected of an infrastructure engineer: developing, improving and maintaining the platform. Languages used will include Go, Python, Terraform and GitHub actions.

Your profile

• Solid experience as an IT Engineer (e.g., software engineer, DevOps, etc.).
• Proficiency in software craftsmanship practices, programming and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud systems such as Azure or Amazon and infrastructure-as-code configuration.
• Knowledge about architecture topics such as integration, security, network, identity and access management.
• Passionate and experienced in AI assistant programming, conversational coding techniques, and other AI technologies.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deeply curious and eager to learn technologies and skills.
