Description

Noesis is looking for the following profile:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of intra-domain architecture: take ultimate responsibility for how data flows within and between key product domains, filling internal architectural gaps and complementing middleware-focused integration teams;
  • Design of standards and scalability: design, publish, and govern scalable and secure integration standards (API-first, event-driven, and microservices), applying the 'Signal vs. Payload' pattern and ensuring that large file transfers are decoupled from the ESB in real time (webMethods) to protect operational stability;
  • Cross-functional governance bridge: act as a strategic integration bridge between the IT operational excellence team and existing middleware/ESB teams, establishing collaboration rules and joint operational models for enterprise integration adoption;
  • Technical debt mitigation: review designs from local product teams, providing guidance and guardrails to eliminate fragile point-to-point connections;
  • Community leadership: promote the adoption of integration standards in decentralized engineering squads, encouraging shared practices that stabilize cross-system deliveries.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of deep technical experience in enterprise application integration, API management, and event-driven architectures in complex corporate environments;
  • Advanced mastery of modern integration paradigms (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Event Brokers);
  • Solid conceptual understanding of ESB/middleware platforms (e.g., webMethods);
  • Experience with cloud-native ETL/data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory);
  • Ability to navigate between high-level business strategy and technical system-to-system data flows; understanding of complex IT ecosystems focused on product;
  • Proven experience in defining operational models and collaborating between separate architecture and infrastructure teams to achieve unified technical standards.

Location: Hybrid working regime in Lisbon.
