SOC Coordinator - Lisbon/Porto or Covilhã/Hybrid

Noesis is looking for a SOC Coordinator to lead security operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, incident response, and the evolution of detection and threat response processes and technologies.

This role will play a critical part in managing the SOC team, interacting with clients, and continuously improving detection and response capabilities.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the SOC;
  • Manage and develop the security analyst team;
  • Oversee the screening, investigation, and response to security incidents;
  • Define and optimize playbooks, use cases, and detection rules (SIEM / XDR / NDR);
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and operational KPIs;
  • Ensure regular reporting (operational and executive);
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (automation, detection/screening/containment);
  • Participate in crisis management and critical incident management (Major Incident Management);
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g. NIS2, GDPR);

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in SOC / Cybersecurity;
  • Previous experience in coordination or team leadership;
  • Practical knowledge in:
  • SIEM (e.g. Sentinel, Splunk, Securonix, Arcsight, others);
  • XDR/EDR (e.g. Microsoft Defender, Checkpoint Harmony, Palo Alto Cortex, Crowdstrike, others);
  • Vulnerability Management (e.g. Tenable, Qualys, others);
  • Threat Detection & Incident Response;
  • Frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF);
  • Experience in defining and improving processes (e.g. Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, others that support SOC operations);
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability under pressure;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English;

We value:

  • Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH);
  • Experience with SOAR and automation;
  • Knowledge of Threat Intelligence;
  • Experience in SOC/MDR services.

Working Model: Lisbon, Porto or Covilhã, hybrid (2 times a week in flexible office).
