About this challenge

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures, primarily on AWS;

- Lead data engineering projects and cloud platforms from concept to production;

- Develop and apply data governance and security standards across various platforms;

- Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration flows using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and Glue;

- Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for platform deployment and management;

- Apply hands-on programming in Python and SQL to prototype solutions and establish technical standards;

- Ensure performance optimization for large datasets and manage Iceberg, Redshift, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL tables;

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical leader and mentor.

What we are looking for

- Over 10 years of experience in data engineering and cloud architecture;

- Deep experience in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions);

- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation);

- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL;

- Experience in data governance, security and compliance;

- Experience in large-scale data migrations and platform optimizations;

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills;

- Experience in European corporate environments, preferably in large regulated organizations;

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;

- Proficiency in English.
