What is this challenge about

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures primarily on AWS;

- Lead data engineering and cloud platform projects, from concept to production;

- Develop and enforce data governance and security standards across platforms;

- Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and Glue;

- Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for platform deployment and management;

- Apply hands-on coding in Python and SQL to prototype solutions and set technical standards;

- Ensure performance optimization for large datasets and manage Iceberg tables, Redshift, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL;

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a technical leader and mentor.

What we are looking for

- 10+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and architecture;

- Deep expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions);

- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation);

- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL;

- Experience in data governance, security, and compliance;

- Background in large-scale data migrations and platform optimizations;

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills;

- Experience in European corporate environments, preferably within large-scale, regulated organizations;

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;

- Proficiency in English.
