About KWAN

We're currently hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer based in one of this cities in Portugal (Lisboa, Porto, Viseu, or Coimbra - Portugal).

What you’ll do:

- Support the design and review of secure system architectures

- Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for new and existing projects

- Perform system security testing and vulnerability analysis

- Ensure alignment with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations

- Collaborate closely with engineering, development, and compliance teams

- Advocate for security best practices across the software/system lifecycle

- Contribute to a security-driven culture with a shared mission to protect and improve lives through technology

What we are looking for:

- Academic background in Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience

Solid knowledge of:

- Secure software development principles

- Security architecture concepts

- Security design best practices

Hands-on or academic experience with:

- Security risk assessments

- Threat modeling

- Security architecture reviews

- System security testing

- Vulnerability assessments

Familiarity with security standards/frameworks (a plus):

- ISO 27001, ISO 21434, ISA/IEC 62443

- NIST Cyber Security Framework

- Proactive, curious, and eager to grow professionally

- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
