ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Mid Scrum Master to support Agile delivery within an international financial services environment based in Porto. This opportunity is focused on guiding software development teams through complex delivery contexts, promoting collaboration, continuous improvement and effective coordination across distributed teams, with a hybrid model including two on-site days per week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives, ensuring effective team engagement.
- Coach the team on Agile principles, frameworks and practices to improve workflow, delivery quality and productivity.
- Act as a servant leader by removing impediments, supporting trust and promoting open communication across the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support backlog prioritization and alignment with business goals.
- Monitor delivery indicators, support performance discussions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to align delivery practices across locations.
- Support team self-organization, accountability and goal achievement.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks, communicating relevant updates to stakeholders in a timely and structured way.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Agile delivery, including experience as a Scrum Master in software development environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks and practices, with hands-on experience in complex delivery contexts.
- Experience working with international and distributed teams across different locations or time zones.
- Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to support team performance and continuous improvement.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate delivery challenges while keeping the team focused on outcomes.
- Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken, with a minimum B2 level.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Scrum, Agile frameworks and Agile delivery practices.
- Sprint planning, daily meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Backlog prioritization, stakeholder coordination and delivery alignment.
- Team performance metrics, delivery risk management and continuous improvement.
- Servant leadership, coaching, mentoring and team facilitation.
- Project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence or Trello.
NICE TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field.
- Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster or Professional Scrum Master.
- Experience in payments, banking or financial services environments.
- Availability to travel abroad for short periods when required.
COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY
Base salary range: EUR 16 000 - EUR 28 000 gross/year Total compensation: up to EUR 33 000/year The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
