Torpedo.pt Experiments with Shorter Work Hours to Boost Balance

From July to August, employees could leave 30 minutes early or take the whole afternoon off on Fridays. Although this seems like a small change, the founder, Arsénio Ferraz, thinks it could lead to bigger adjustments in the future, like reducing the workday from eight hours to seven.

Ferraz explains that the main idea is not to switch to a four-day workweek, but to find ways to improve work-life balance without lowering productivity.

He believes shorter hours could help workers spend more time with their families and take care of personal matters.

As an entrepreneur, Ferraz is focused on pushing Torpedo.pt to reach its highest potential.

He remains ambitious, driven by results, and wants to share the company’s success with his team. He acknowledges that this path is tough, but he made a conscious choice to pursue it.
