Synopsys, a technology company based in North America, has now fully moved into its building located at Maia Science and Technology Park (Tecmaia) in Porto. The building covers an area of 6,400 square meters across four floors. The most recent renovation of the 1,600 square meter P2 floor was done by Tétris Portugal, a design and construction company under JLL, and was finished in just four months.
Tétris took care of the project from the beginning to the end, focusing on being efficient, delivering high quality, and making sure the design worked well with the technology used.
JLL’s R&D department acted as the project manager, making sure all teams worked together smoothly and that deadlines were met. Although the project didn’t aim for an official environmental certification, sustainability was still a key consideration in the design choices, and modern furniture was used to create a practical workspace that shows off Synopsys’ brand.
Carlos Cardoso, who is the Managing Director of Tétris Portugal and also the CEO of JLL Portugal, said that this project shows Tétris' skill in turning old spaces into modern, people-focused areas.
Isabel Falé, the Workplace Lead at Synopsys Southern Europe, mentioned that the expansion offers a fresh, employee-friendly environment that improves productivity, and she is excited about future work with JLL and Tétris.
