Sonae, in partnership with SAP, Iberdrola, and CEOE, has introduced the New Career Network (NCN) in Portugal and Spain to support the retraining of 700,000 professionals locally and 20 million across Europe.
Part of the European Reskilling for Employment (R4E) initiative, NCN connects candidates, employers, and training providers. Using AI-driven personalized paths, it offers training in areas like Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Robotics, provided by top institutions such as Ironhack and Porto Tech Hub.
Participants can access courses, showcase their qualifications, and explore job opportunities, while companies benefit from ready-trained talent. Cláudia Azevedo, CEO of Sonae, highlighted NCN’s role in preparing workers for the digital and green economy, enhancing both competitiveness and quality of life.
The platform currently offers 39 courses and is open to additional partners, aiming to expand its reskilling ecosystem.
