Revolut Hits 2 Million Customers, Becomes “Third Largest” Bank in Portugal

Revolut has hit its goal of having two million customers in Portugal, making it the third biggest financial company in the country based on the number of users, according to Ignacio Zunzunegui, who leads growth in Southern Europe.

This achievement happens at the same time as more people are moving their accounts to Revolut's Portuguese branch.

It also comes as fees, especially for business accounts, have gone up.

If the growth in Spain and Portugal continues as planned-with seven million users in Spain and three million in Portugal-this part of Europe could make up 10% of Revolut's total customers worldwide.

This supports the bank's plan to expand its presence in Southern Europe.
