Portuguese engineering consultancy Quadrante has made its first move into the US, acquiring Right Analytics, a Los Angeles-based electrical transmission systems consultancy serving clients like Google and major data center operators. The acquisition comes after Quadrante’s 2024 expansion into Spain with Meta Engineering and follows the establishment of Quadrante US LLC in October 2025.
Right Analytics founder Saman Babei joined Quadrante US as COO, and the unit is led by Eduardo Llorente. CEO Nuno Costa says the acquisition supports Quadrante’s strategic focus on energy (transmission and distribution), data centers, and engineering services, and anticipates additional, larger US acquisitions this year.
Right Analytics brings active contracts and Tier 1 clients, including New York Power Authority, Dominion Energy, National Grid, Southern California Edison, and ongoing projects with Google. Although its 2025 turnover was $700,000, Costa projects $3.5 million in 2026, with January contracts alone totaling $800,000.
Globally, Quadrante operates in 25+ countries, employs around 1,300 people, and posted €122 million in revenue in 2025. With the US expansion, revenue is expected to reach €160 million in 2026, with headcount growing to 1,650. Notable projects in Portugal include the Porto Metro line, Sines lithium battery gigafactory, Lisbon East Hospital, and the Gulbenkian Modern Art Centre.
Quadrante is 50.5% founder-owned (including Costa) and 49.5% held by Henko Partners.
