Prozis Owner Miguel Milhão Receives €5.1 Million in Tax Benefits

Miguel Milhão, 42, owner of the sports nutrition empire Prozis, gained €5.1 million in tax incentives last year—€3.3 million more than in 2023. Despite his earlier statement-“I don’t need Portugal, and I don’t need Prozis. I have unlimited resources”-his companies continue to benefit from Portuguese tax incentives and European funding programs.

Prozis operates a dozen factories in northern Portugal, producing everything from powdered supplements and meals to sportswear, ice cream, sauces, and packaging labels. The company also benefits from programs such as the Recovery and Resilience Plan, with €1.2 million expected by the end of next year for its “Packaging of the Future | + Ecological + Digital + Inclusive” project.

According to Correio da Manhã, most of the €5.1 million came from IRC incentives (profit tax), with Prozis Tech in Esposende receiving €1.7 million and Prozis Com in Madeira €943,000. Despite Milhão’s international ambitions, his companies continue to rely heavily on Portuguese and European financial support.
