The 9th Porto Tech Hub Conference drew over 1,400 participants and 30 expert speakers, filling Alfândega do Porto with professionals and tech enthusiasts. This year’s conference covered groundbreaking topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software development.
Highlights included Stephen Chin's presentation on generative AI and the role of knowledge graphs in improving AI model accuracy, Nicolas Fränkel's discussion on securing complex corporate environments, and Kim van Wilgen’s talk on leading self-organizing teams. Mete Atamel from Google addressed common issues with large language models (LLMs) and methods for enhancing their precision, while Sander Hoogendoorn shared strategies for overcoming post-Agile stagnation. Gavin King offered an introduction to quantum computing and its transformative potential across industries.
The event also featured hands-on ‘deep dive’ workshops, providing attendees with the opportunity to work closely with experts on quantum computing, systems architecture, and generative AI. Partner companies such as Emergn, Bosch, and Mercedes Benz.io showcased their digital transformation innovations.
Following the success of this year’s conference, Porto Tech Hub is already planning for its 10th-anniversary event in 2025.
