International retailer Pepco is opening its first technology center in Portugal, positioning the country as a strategic hub for digital innovation.
The new Digital IT Hub will operate autonomously, with a startup-like model focused on agility, experimentation, and rapid decision-making. Teams will work on projects in loyalty, personalization, AI, data, and cloud, aiming to modernize operations and enhance customer experience.
To launch the hub, Pepco will recruit around 60 specialists-software engineers, product managers, and digital experts-through a dedicated platform, Tech Hub Pepco. With nearly 4,000 stores across Europe and growing presence in Iberia, the company sees Portugal as a key market for technology and talent development.
