Paulo Dimas leaves Unbabel after a decade of innovation

Paulo Dimas is leaving Unbabel after spending ten years there. He was the VP of Product Innovation and joined the company in 2014 after meeting the CEO, Vasco Pedro. Throughout his time at Unbabel, he was a key player in shaping the company's product plans.

During his time, Dimas helped create three big products.

One of them led to a $60 million Series C funding round and got Unbabel on Fast Company's list of top innovative companies. He also started projects like Halo, which uses AI and brain science, and the Center for Responsible AI, a non-profit that works to make AI more ethical in Europe.

Looking back on his time at Unbabel, Dimas said the best part was mentoring and working with young talent.

He joked about retiring, but it seems like he might have some new projects coming up.
