MB Way Expands Money Transfers to 13 European Countries

By the end of 2026, MB Way users will be able to send money to contacts in 13 different European countries. This update builds on the current system that already allows transfers to Spain and Italy.

The project connects MB Way with other major European payment systems like Bizum and Bancomat. Together, these platforms have over 130 million users who want a faster way to move money across borders.

How the New System Works

Users will not need to use a bank IBAN to send funds. Instead, you can simply use a mobile phone number to send or receive money instantly. This is possible due to the cooperation of many software development companies working on a unified European payment network.

The countries included in this update are:

  • Southern Europe: Spain, Italy, and Andorra.
  • Western Europe: France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
  • Northern Europe: Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

The Future of Digital Payments

SIBS, the company behind MB Way, plans to expand even further in 2027. Soon, Portuguese travelers will be able to pay for items in physical stores in cities like Stockholm or Brussels using a QR Code.

This level of connectivity is a huge benefit for the growing number of digital professionals. It makes financial management much easier for those who use coworking in Portugal but work with clients and partners all over Europe.
