Doutor Finanças Expands into Italy with Fully Digital Operations

Doutor Finanças, a Portuguese fintech company, is now expanding into Italy after doing well in Spain. This is part of their plan to grow internationally, and they expect Spain and Italy to contribute 25% of their total income by 2030.

In Italy, the company will start completely online, offering services across the whole country.

This approach will make things faster and cheaper. Antonio Biffi, who has worked in finance for over 20 years, including in London, will lead the team in Italy. The local team wants to use the same successful model as Doutor Finanças, making financial processes easier and helping Italian families make better financial choices.

Doutor Finanças was started in 2014.

In 2024, they made €21 million in income and helped with €918 million in mortgage loans. They also helped 185,000 people improve their financial situation. The company has 317 employees and over 400 specialists who work in stores. It continues to grow and is becoming a top example of a fintech company in Europe that focuses on financial well-being.
