CTT – Correios de Portugal has invested in Agentifai, a startup based in Braga that focuses on conversational AI for customer support, using its €8 million 1520 innovation fund.
This decision shows CTT's support for promising technology companies and helps them continue improving digital services.
Agentifai was started by Rui Monteiro Lopes and is most famous for its voice assistant called Alice, which helps with natural language conversations in areas such as banking and healthcare.
The solution is already used by more than four million users around the world, helping to automate more than half of customer interactions and reduce service costs by up to 50%. Some of its big clients are BPI, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, and Lusíadas Saúde.
CTT, which earlier introduced the Helena chatbot to start using generative AI in its customer service, views Agentifai as a key partner.
Nuno Matos, Director of Digital, New Channels, and Innovation, stated that the investment will help CTT lead the shift toward new technology in service delivery, making customer experiences more efficient and scalable.
