Capgemini is planning to cut up to 2,400 jobs in France, which is about 7% of their staff there. The tech shift is the reason for this.
The company said this will only be done through people who want to leave.
Those affected can retrain for new jobs in important areas or leave with help to start something new.
Capgemini says tech changes, especially AI, changing customer needs, and a slower economy are behind this. The car industry is hit hard because tech is taking over some jobs.
The plan will now be discussed with unions. Capgemini has 420,000 workers in about 50 countries, including Portugal.
