Amdocs is starting a new division focused on GenAI and data to bring together all its AI work across products, engineering, strategy, and how it markets its offerings. This new team, led by SVP Ilan Sade, wants to make sure AI is used in every part of what the company does, a goal that has been in the works for two years.
At the same time, the company is also planning more layoffs, which are expected to affect hundreds of employees around the world, including in Israel.
Amdocs currently has 29,000 employees and has already let go of over 4,000 workers in the last two years. The company says these changes are part of a bigger plan to improve its standing in the global IT and telecom industries and to make its operations more efficient in key areas.
