Amadeus IT Group, a Spanish company that works with travel technology, has fully taken over Vision-Box, a Portuguese firm that makes biometric systems for airports, airlines, and identity management. This move helps Amadeus grow its operations in Portugal, where it already provides services to TAP and SATA airlines.
The company officially announced the deal to the Portuguese Competition Authority on September 10, 2025.
Vision-Box's technology is used in air travel, border control, seaports, and identity systems. People who are interested can submit their comments to the Authority within 10 business days about this change in ownership. The case is referred to as Ccent. 74/2025 – Amadeus/VisionBox.
