Air Apps Expands with New Tech Hubs in Lisbon, Porto, and Silicon Valley

Portuguese startup Air Apps, known for its applications like Translate Now, has opened a new technology hub in Lisbon and plans to expand to Porto and Silicon Valley in 2025. The Lisbon hub, located in Oeiras, will serve as a collaboration space for the global team and local partners, complementing the company’s remote work model.

The company’s goal is to increase its workforce by 40% by the end of 2025, growing from 30 employees in Portugal to 50. Filipe Ferreira, co-founder of Air Apps, shared that the company aims to achieve 48% revenue growth in 2025, building on a 60% increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2024. The company also seeks to reach over $100 million in annual recurring revenue by next year.

Air Apps currently has 38 launched applications and around 100 million global downloads, with a strong presence in markets like the United States and Japan. The company is focused on expanding key apps like Translate Now and Calculator Air, while also revitalizing smaller applications.

Looking ahead, Air Apps aims to replicate the success of Bending Spoons in Portugal, becoming a major player in the global tech landscape.
