Raize, a Portuguese crowdfunding platform, has received up to €4 million in funding from C2 Capital Partners to support its expansion into Spain, Italy, and Luxembourg. The first €2 million will be given right away to improve Raize’s financial position, and the remaining €2 million will be provided based on meeting certain goals in 2025 and 2026.
This partnership is meant to improve Raize’s technology and help it grow across Europe, especially with the new EU Crowdfunding Regulation now in place, which allows operations in all EU countries.
Alberto Amaral, the CEO, says this investment shows trust in Raize’s ability to grow in a sustainable way and change how small and medium-sized businesses get funding.
Raize was started about ten years ago and ended 2024 with more than 100,000 users and over €29 million in new loans, making it a major player in alternative lending for European SMEs.
