Portuguese Tech Firm PrimeIT Expands to Germany, Offering 25 New Jobs in Frankfurt

Portuguese tech company PrimeIT is opening a new office in Frankfurt am Main, which is the first step in entering the German market under the name Prime Engineering Germany. By the end of this year, the company plans to create more than 25 jobs in IT, Engineering, and Telecommunications.

Gonçalo Mousinho, the International CEO of PrimeIT, says Germany has always been a key goal for the company.

“We are prepared to work in a tough market and want to become one of Europe’s top IT and engineering companies,” he explains. The Frankfurt office comes after the company opened branches in Toulouse, France, and Italy in the last year. It adds to PrimeIT’s network of 19 offices in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, and the UK, along with talent centers in Brazil and Vietnam.

Frankfurt was picked because of its central position in Europe, which helps connect the company with customers, partners, and skilled workers.

The city also has a strong financial and tech scene, making it a great place to grow the team, both locally and with teams that include local and Nearshore workers. Mousinho also mentions that a second office in Germany might open between 2026 and 2027, because of its close proximity to Stuttgart, Cologne, and Düsseldorf.
