Affinity Opens a New Unit in Porto and Strengthens Its Leadership Team

A Portuguese IT consulting firm closed its third quarter with two pieces of news: a new business unit in Porto and a leadership change in Lisbon. Affinity Portugal launched Origo in Porto and named new leadership for its Legend unit, all while saying it is on track for its best year since founding.

Origo: the new unit in Porto

The Affinity new unit in Porto, Origo, is the company’s newest startup. Tiago da Cunha Soares will lead it as business unit manager. He brings more than 20 years of experience in IT business development, in Portugal and abroad, with past roles at Dell Technologies, Approach People Recruitment, Wyser, Talkdesk and, most recently, emagine Portugal.

New leadership at Legend

In Lisbon, the Legend business unit, founded in 2024, has a new manager: Nádia Gaspar. She now runs the unit and a team of about 90 people, including central services and consultants. She holds a degree in Human Resources Management from ISCSP, University of Lisbon, and a postgraduate degree in Executive Sales Management from ISCTE. Her previous leadership roles include Match Profiler, Human Profiler, KWAN and Capgemini Engineering.

Building leaders from within

Affinity’s CEO, Carlos Pais Correia, says the company has invested in developing its leadership since the start. One example is a new Mini MBA for Internal CEOs, due to start in the last quarter of the year. It has 15 modules covering strategy and business planning, finance, commercial management, marketing and governance, giving future internal leaders a set of practical tools. For readers tracking digital companies, that focus on growing leaders from within is a distinctive approach.

A strong quarter

Affinity says it closed the third quarter well above its targets. It expects to pass €25 million in revenue this year and to reach nearly 500 people nationally and internationally. The firm was founded in 2012, is 100% Portuguese-owned and has more than 450 people across its corporate and consulting teams. It describes itself as a CEO training ground, using an intrapreneurship strategy.
