Pepco Opens Tech Hub in Porto to Drive Digital Transformation Across 18 Markets

Pepco is opening a Digital IT Hub in Porto as part of its plan to move more into the digital world across the 18 European countries where it does business. The hub will start with about 60 experts who will work on data, AI, and digital systems to improve how customers interact with the company, their loyalty programs, and online shopping.

Pablo De Ayala, Pepco’s Group Chief Information Officer, said the hub is meant to make the company’s technology stronger and speed up digital progress.

“We’re creating teams that are quick and skilled, so we can use data and digital tools to connect better with customers and grow in a smart way,” he explained.

They are already looking for IT experts who know data analysis, artificial intelligence, and ERP systems.

The new hub in Porto shows Pepco’s belief in Portugal as a place where tech talent is growing. With almost 4,000 stores in Europe and over 30 million online transactions each month, Pepco keeps investing in technology to improve how it runs its business and offer better, more tailored experiences to customers.
