Feedzai CEO Nuno Sebastião believes Portugal has what it takes - and even a duty - to produce national champions across industries. Speaking to Expresso on the paper’s 53rd anniversary, Sebastião highlighted that the country combines strong starting conditions with the emerging power of artificial intelligence, offering a unique chance to compete globally.
“The economic value of AI is still largely unmeasured,” he says, “but once it solves real-world problems, Portugal can lead in multiple sectors.” For him, being Portuguese is no longer a limitation but an asset.
