Impresa Extends Dominance in Portuguese Podcast Market

Grupo Impresa maintains its leading position in the Portuguese podcast market for the 19th consecutive month, according to audited July 2026 data from Marktest's PodScope ranking. Combining flagship brands Expresso and SIC, the media group averaged 462,000 unique weekly listeners, outpacing second-place Grupo Renascença Multimédia at 295,000 listeners.

Across all audited platforms in July, Impresa recorded 4.3 million downloads, securing a 30.8% market share. For the full year 2026, the publisher accounts for 34% of all audited downloads in Portugal.

Top Downloaded Shows and Market Dynamics

Impresa holds six of the top ten positions for audited podcast downloads in Portugal. High-performing titles include financial show Contas-Poupança in 3rd place, political commentary program Programa Cujo Nome Estamos Legalmente Impedidos de Dizer in 4th, daily news show Expresso da Manhã in 5th, and entertainment title Assim Vamos Ter de Falar de Outra Maneira in 6th place. Health series Consulta Aberta climbed to 9th place, while music show Blitz Posto Emissor took 10th.
