EY Portugal to Hire 200 Graduates This September

EY Portugal is gearing up for its biggest recruitment wave of the year, hiring 200 recent graduates in September. The firm received around 1,000 applications, narrowing them down through strict selection criteria. According to HR Director Teresa Freitas, the initiative responds directly to student demand and also strengthens EY’s employer brand among young talent.

EY recruits about 600 people annually, with September and January marking peak intake months. The firm is also expanding opportunities through its new summer internship program across audit, tax, consulting, and strategy, designed to convert top interns into full-time hires.

Portugal’s growing appeal as a work destination boosts EY’s international mobility program, which has drawn more applicants to Lisbon than any other EU office. Freitas also highlighted EY’s strong commitment to diversity—Portugal leads the network in gender balance with women making up 52% of staff, though parity at partner level remains a work in progress.
