Deloitte revamps US job titles, adds new leadership role

Starting June 1, 2026, which is when the next fiscal year begins, Deloitte will update job titles for its US employees and introduce a new leadership position. The company wants to modernize its talent structure and make job roles clearer in today's fast-changing market.

Right now, the top positions at Deloitte are partners, principals, and managing directors (PPMD). Next June, a leadership level will be added. Other jobs, like analyst, senior analyst, consultant, senior consultant, manager, and senior manager, will be sorted into job groups. For example, a senior consultant could become a senior consultant in functional transformation, software engineering, or project management, depending on their specialty.

According to an internal Deloitte presentation seen by Business Insider, everyone will get a new title that will be used internally and externally starting June 1, 2026. The company says this change will modernize old job titles and better show the different skills and work that employees do.

As of May 31, 2025, Deloitte had 181,500 employees in the United States. It's not yet known if these changes will also affect Deloitte Portugal.
