Cofidis Portugal has appointed Gilberto Sousa as its new General Director, starting on October 1. Sousa began his career with Cofidis Portugal in 2007, then moved to Italy in 2013 where he worked on organizational and IT projects focused on digital innovation.
In 2021, he joined the group’s main office in France, where he was in charge of developing and implementing innovation strategies, especially in digital transformation and social impact.
He is now returning to Portugal to take over from Sébastien Haquet, who led the company since 2018. “I’m going back to the country where my career started, with the goal of helping create a financial world that is more connected to people and their life goals,” Sousa shared.
