A year ago, P7S1 launched the 7.1 Tech Hub in Porto, Portugal, complementing the company’s offices in Munich, Unterföhring, and Berlin. The hub has quickly become a central location for attracting top tech and data talent across various domains.
In just 365 days, what began with a founding team of three has grown into a workforce of 40 employees. The team has already achieved significant milestones, marking the first year with impressive growth and success.
Team Expansion & New Office Location
The 7.1 Tech Hub now comprises around 40 employees from five countries: Portugal, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Poland. These diverse backgrounds contribute to innovative ideas and solutions that are advancing the company’s entertainment business. The team has worked on improving the technology behind the Joyn streaming platform, enhancing AI capabilities, and collaborating with the internal IT service provider, PTS. In addition, the management team was expanded to include two new Portuguese colleagues, Pedro and Zé. To support its growing workforce, the hub also moved to a new office location, providing a modern environment for employees.
Within its first year, the 7.1 Tech Hub was named the best tech employer and the fastest-growing tech company in Portugal, surpassing many established industry players. This recognition is a result of the hard work, commitment, and passion of the team, reflected in the consistently positive reviews from employees and candidates.
