Bruno Mota: Closing a 16-Year Chapter at BOLD / Devoteam

There are moments when words come slowly. Not because of confusion, but because the heart is louder. Today is one of those moments. Pride and gratitude, at full volume.

Today I close a cycle of more than 16 years leading BOLD / Devoteam. The end of a demanding, intense, deeply rewarding journey — and the start of a new one.

This story began as BOLD. Just an idea, a strong belief in doing things differently, and no guarantees. Years later, it became Devoteam Portugal. The name changed. The scale changed. The context changed. One thing never did: people first. Always.

I was employee number one. I had the privilege — and the responsibility — of helping grow the company from zero to €100 million in revenue. From zero to nearly 1,500 people. From founder to part of a global leadership structure. Along the way, I learned what no book can teach about leadership, culture, impact, and above all, humanity.

Nothing was built alone. This journey was shaped by thousands of extraordinary people — colleagues, clients, partners, friends. To every single one of you: thank you.

I leave Devoteam confident in its future. What remains goes far beyond numbers. There is a legacy of ambition, leadership, and a culture that will keep living through people, decisions, and the constant desire to do better.

A chapter closes. Another begins. I leave the role, but I take with me one of the most meaningful stories of my life.

And I move forward well accompanied by those who matter most — today and always 🙂
