The Portuguese fitness tech company Bhout expansion is officially moving into Latin America following a major restructuring process at home. Famous for making smart boxing equipment, the startup has locked in a major Bhout interactive boxing bag contract South America with the Chilean gym chain Neo to speed up its global business strategy.
Scaling Smart Fitness Technology
The new partnership commits to equipping at least 25 health clubs across Chile with about 100 smart boxing bags, backed by software and digital service revenue. According to founder and CEO Mauro Frota, the deal is worth at least one million euros. This proves that their new distribution model works for large gym chains.
The smart bags feature built-in sensors, computer vision, and an AI Coach. This system checks workouts in under 300 milliseconds by comparing user movements against data from professional athletes.
Restructuring and Future Growth
While growing abroad, Bhout has also done internal restructuring to fix its finances and reach positive cash flow. This step involved cutting several jobs since product development is now finished and the product is ready.
As the brand prepares to show off its technology at upcoming industry events, this global push opens fresh options for software developers, digital experts, and other tech companies looking at fitness innovation.
