BDO, which is one of the biggest accounting groups in the world, is planning to get rid of its old structure where each country was kind of separate. They started this plan in January. The goal is to bring the different country offices together into bigger groups, and then eventually make everything one global company.
This is happening because big international clients want the same service everywhere they go. It will also help them use AI tools around the world, since those tools work best with everyone following the same rules.
This change will probably take a long time, maybe even more than ten years, because BDO has to get all of its offices working the same way with the same technology and rules.
