The data center has 6.8 MW of power but can grow to 75 MW, and even 175 MW with some extra land.
Altice Portugal will stick around as the main customer with a long-term deal, so things should keep running smoothly. The location, near Porto and Lisbon, makes it a good spot for Portuguese clients and European AI companies that need powerful computing.
Asterion says Portugal's cheap energy, good internet cables, and friendly rules made this investment a no-brainer. The deal should be done by early 2026, once regulators give the okay. Asterion did something like this before in Spain with Telefónica.
