Junior Data Analytics Consultant

The Business Intelligence & Analytics team aims to ensure that organizations can extract more value from their data and truly become data-driven. We implement end-to-end business intelligence solutions leveraging our technology partnerships with Microsoft, Tableau, and Hitachi, where we specialize.

What are the main responsibilities?

As a Junior Data Analytics Consultant, your mission will be to translate business requirements into relevant metrics and indicators and from that, design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence systems.

You will apply specific knowledge about data modeling and storage (star schema, snowflake, etc.), use advanced query tools, visualization, and data interaction, as well as produce ad hoc reports.

Daily, you will be responsible for:

- Translating business rules into clear and systematic functional and technical requirements;

- Identifying the correct metrics and KPIs that meet the business area's needs;

- Identifying relevant data sources to produce the correct calculations for all necessary metrics/KPIs;

- Designing and producing data warehouse models according to established standards;

- Designing and developing ETL processes with performance and scalability, considering all relevant stages (preparation, cleaning, etc.);

- Developing reports and dashboards based on business requirements;

- Conducting audits to ensure data quality across the Data Warehouse and Reporting infrastructure, as well as its security.

Stacks: Microsoft or Tableau or Pentaho

What skills do you need to have?

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or Engineering in general;

- Knowledge of designing and implementing normalized and denormalized relational data models;

- Experience with SQL;

- Knowledge of database management tools such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL;

- Responsibility and organization;

- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team, focused on solving complex problems;

- Fluent English (written and spoken).

Bonus points for:

- Knowledge of shell scripting;

- Knowledge of programming in Java or Python;

- Knowledge of tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, JIRA or equivalent.
