What do we do?
VWFS Porto is a VWFS AG IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a long-term Business & IT company. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing and maintaining contract management systems and another IT projects in other areas.
Our focus is on: Core systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also extends to integrations, data, and large project organizations.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Analyze accounting business processes and translate them into system requirements
- Design and support configurations related to General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Asset Accounting
- Financial reporting and reconciliation processes
- Ensure system solutions comply with accounting standards and internal controls
- Configure and maintain CMS accounting modules (Miles)
- Support or lead Miles’s system implementation projects, including:
- Data migration validation
- Testing (UAT, SIT)
- Ensure proper integration between accounting and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., sales, leasing, billing)
- Provide support for accounting-related system issues
- Analyze incidents and propose sustainable solutions and process improvements
- Act as a bridge between Finance and IT teams
We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:
- Strong ability to act as a bridge between Finance and IT
- Clear communication of complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Active participation in workshops, requirement sessions, and demos
- Stakeholder alignment and expectation management
- Experience with leasing or financial services systems (e.g., Miles)
- Knowledge of IFRS / local GAAP
- Familiarity with:
- Agile methodologies
- Jira / Confluence
- Data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI)
- Learning agility (especially important for Junior profiles)
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments
- Proactive mindset and adaptability to change
