🚀 Are you looking for the next step as a Senior AWS Database Administrator?

Then this challenge could be for you.

We are looking for a Senior AWS Database Administrator to join a DBA team responsible for critical database environments in a financial context, with a strong focus on performance, availability, security, and operational continuity.

What your day will look like:

• Monitor daily the health, performance, and resource usage of Amazon Redshift clusters
• Manage and optimize WLM queues to efficiently isolate and prioritize workloads
• Execute VACUUM and ANALYZE strategies on large tables, within limited production windows
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues using SVL/STV system views, CloudWatch, and Redshift console
• Handle incidents through the internal ticketing system and participate in war rooms with stakeholders and senior management
• Proactively monitor all supported platforms and share findings with technical teams in regular meetings
• Plan and execute production and disaster recovery activities during maintenance windows on Saturdays
• Perform on-call rotation across the entire database stack, with independent triage ability in multiple RDBMS
• Execute installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades in on-premises and AWS environments
• Manage access, space allocation, backup policies, and disaster recovery configurations
• Support application and DevOps teams with architectural advice and query performance guidance

What we are looking for:

• More than 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on AWS database services in production
• Hands-on specialist experience with Amazon Redshift: cluster management, distribution and sort keys, WLM, VACUUM, ANALYZE, and performance diagnostics via SVL/STV
• Solid operational experience in a second RDBMS, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, in an on-premises or AWS RDS/Aurora context
• Hands-on DBA experience at the infrastructure level, not in data engineering, analytics, or provisioning
• Availability for production windows on Saturdays and monthly on-call rotation after onboarding
• Ability to maintain clarity and calm in critical incidents with executive stakeholders
• Fluent in English

We also value:

• Experience with AWS RDS and/or Aurora
• Knowledge of AWS DMS
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with OpenShift and awareness of PostgreSQL
• Ability for automation and operational scripting with Ansible, Python, or Bash
• Knowledge of CloudWatch, IAM, S3, and Lambda
• Experience with on-premises environments alongside cloud

⚠️ Hybrid model: 3 days a week in the office

Salary Package

• Junior: €12,880 to €21,000 gross (14 months) + Meal Allowance + Flexible Benefits
• Mid: €14,000 to €28,000 gross (14 months) + Meal Allowance + Flexible Benefits
• Senior: €20,000 to €49,000 gross (14 months) + Meal Allowance + Flexible Benefits
